XBOX SOCIAL CAMPAIGN - SUMMER 2023

XBOX SOCIAL CAMPAIGN - SUMMER 2023

Translation

Role: Account Director, Executive Producer, Director

Overview: The challenge of flying the proverbial plane while building it is the perfect metaphor when it surrounds this project. During the midst of developing the operating infrastructure of 16 Bars, I came across an opportunity with the New Business team at Translation to pitch Xbox on creating their summer campaign for social, which surround the launch of 6 new videos games over the course of the summer of 2023.

Our value proposition was that with a creative team at Translation and 16 Bars collaborating together, we can create a creative concept that can be templatized so that it can be repeatable over and over, thus, achieving effiency in cost and speed, which also created value of producing more assets than expected based on the budget of the project.

Sure enough, we won over the clients, who we’re also amazing collaborators, and we were off to the races. Throughout the entire project, I had to act as the Account Director as 16 Bars has yet to have a team of Account Managers, not having this role also helped us with allocating more budget towards producing the creative. While usering the clients along the journey, I also played the role of Executive Producer, helping flesh the creative concept out to ensure it truly stayed intact with that we sold through to the clients. From there, I had to assemble a production team for the live action, editorial, and finishing. As I was intimately knowledgeable on the creative, I inherited the task of being the on-set Director, directing 2 sets simultaneoulsy, over the course of a 2-day shoot. All of this while juggling the day-to-day responsibilties I had as the head of 16 Bars.

To further demonstrate my collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit, I tapped into the music licensing team in our enterprise with UnitedMasters. The UM team was able to curate a playlist of various tracks for each video game that made music selection seamless, all while being able to offer a generous discounted licensing fee to clients, while at the same time, helping add to the revenue stream for UnitedMasters.

Ultimately what netted out was 4 unique pieces of assets which consisted of a 15-second video, an animated video, a static image, and YouTube thumbnails, across various different aspect ratio and sizes, over the course of 6 different video game releases and one evergreen execution.
